I live in a house with all boys. All. Boys.
I love them dearly, but all of their stuff, the odd sounds they make, the messes they leave behind and the smells that permeate from their rooms have always caused me to dream of escape. Especially when I need to be get some writing done.
With the latest trend in tiny houses, I can assure you that many of my newest escape plans have included purchasing a tiny house, parking it in the back yard and using it as an office and girl cave.
The fact that with some models I could actually attach it to my SUV and drive away when needed, is pure bonus!
This tiny house looks like something right out of a novel, and since I write novels, I only think it would be fair to have something like this. Right? Just looking at the photo gets my creative juices flowing. Imagine what living... I mean, working in it would do.
The interior of the tiny house above is made completely out of salvaged material. Since my first book was titled Salvaged, I think this is a total sign. It's swoon-worthy.
For some reason, this tiny house reminds me of a Wild West saloon. So for those of you who go big or go home when it comes to escape, saddle up to a old-timey retreat and include a serious bar. Hey, it's your space. You can do with it what you want.
I suppose we don't have to completely keep the space all to ourselves, we can be nice and share the patio. 🙂
So next time you're searching your house for space to create a writing nook or home office, look out in your backyard. You never know, you might just be inspired to build a tiny house that will quickly become your own private paradise!
It's what I'm crossing my fingers for.
